500 YOUTHS GATHER FOR EASTER RETREAT

Saru was a busy site during the Easter weekend as young people flocked in large numbers to what could be dubbed as the largest turnout to any easter retreats ever hosted at the premises.

All in all, they had good clean fun.

They had sports,
They sang,
They shared with one another,
They received lectures,
They had exciting activities,
They posed for shots,
Afew got crazy,
They ate,They cleaned up,At times they just sat around stared at the horizon and switched to Fiji Time mode,
But most of all, they came to worship GOD.

SPECIAL EASTER MESSAGE FROM OUR SENIOR PASTOR (REV SAIMONI WAQA)

I greet you all today in the wonderful name of our risen Savior; Jesus Christ.

I wish to begin my Easter Message with the following verse:

John 12:24 . I am telling you the truth: a grain of wheat remains no more than a single grain unless it is dropped into the ground and dies. If it does die, then it produces many grains

Jesus in this particular passage was talking about His imminent death and resurrection.

The verse reflects the profound truth behind the Easter message. Its paradoxical style exposes the depth of Gods love and His plans to salvage the human race from self destruction and oblivion. Just like the grain of wheat, Jesus had to die in order to live and in living He would produce many grains. We are the harvest of grains. He died to give us life and life in abundance.

Thank God for Crucifixion day because it opens up the door for reconciliation with our Heavenly Father and thanks also be to Him for Resurrection Day because it assures us a good quality of life here on earth and most importantly in the next life. (Romans 5:10)

Jesus said: “...because I live, you shall live also.” (John 14:19b)

(Joni 14:19b)

EASTER MESSAGE FROM EAGLE VIEW

How time does fly! Easter is just around the corner and it seems like we’ve just celebrated the Christmas & New Years holidays not many days ago. Friends we know how important Easter is to us of the Christian faith. Paul in writing to the Corinthian Church stressed that without the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ the gospel would be empty. Our preaching would be irrelevant and consequently your faith would be worthless and hopeless. But we have much to celebrate and live for: Our Lord Jesus has risen from the dead and His message to us today is – “Because I live, you shall live also.” So I dare you to celebrate life even if you’re going through a crisis or a problem because JESUS IS ALIVE!

HAPPY EASTER HOLIDAYS FROM THE CHURCH FAMILY AT SARU HEIGHTS.
